Stash was the original name for Bitbucket Server, which is a self-hosted Git repository management tool developed by Atlassian. In 2015, Stash was rebranded as Bitbucket Server while Bitbucket became the name for the cloud-based Git repository hosting service also developed by Atlassian. Both Stash/Bitbucket Server and Bitbucket are products of Atlassian, but they offer slightly different solutions for managing Git repositories.
