To create sub-categories in Shopify, you can follow these steps:
- Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
- Go to the "Products" tab on the left-hand side menu.
- Click on the "Collections" sub-tab.
- On the Collections page, click on the "Create collection" button.
- Enter a title for your sub-category in the "Title" field.
- In the "Collection type" section, choose "Automated" or "Manual" based on your preference.
Automated: Products will be added to the sub-category based on certain conditions you set, such as product tags, types, or vendors.
Manual: You'll manually select which products to include in the sub-category.
- Set the conditions for automated collections (if applicable), such as product tags or types. Skip this step if you selected the manual collection type.
- Under the "Collection image" section, you can upload a representative image for the sub-category.
- Customize the display options, including the sorting order, featured collections, and more, according to your preferences.
- Once you've configured all the necessary settings, click the "Save" button to create the sub-category.
Now, when you view your store on the front-end, you should see the new sub-category added to your main category. You can continue creating additional sub-categories by repeating these steps.
