How to configure email in sonarqube?

To configure email in SonarQube, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your SonarQube instance as an administrator.
  2. In the top-right corner of the screen, click on your profile picture and select "My Account."
  3. Click on the "Security" tab.
  4. Scroll down to the "Update user information" section and enter your email address in the "Email" field.
  5. Click on the "Save" button to save your changes.
  6. Next, click on the "Administration" link in the top menu bar.
  7. In the left-hand menu, click on the "Configuration" tab.
  8. Under the "Email" section, enter the SMTP server settings provided by your email service provider. This typically includes the SMTP server address, port number, and authentication credentials.
  9. Click on the "Save" button to save your changes.
  10. You can test the email configuration by going to the "Settings" tab in the top menu bar and selecting "Email" from the dropdown menu. Enter your email address and click on the "Send" button to send a test email.


Once you have successfully configured email in SonarQube, you will receive email notifications for various events, such as new analysis results, issue assignments, and project statuses.
